On June 8, 2021 TSMU Vice Rector, Associated Professor Sophia Bakhtadze participated in the European Brain Council (EBC) session work. Assoc. Prof. Sophia Bakhtadze is a representative of the European Pediatric Neurological Society at EBC. The European Brain Council was founded in Brussels and is a network uniting experts in neurology and psychiatry from the European countries. The aim of the organization is to study the health issues related to people with mental and neurological disorders.

Nowadays the main goal of the organization is to solve problems connected with treatment of people having autism spectrum, phenylketonuria, dystonia and ataxia disorders. To solve the problem, „Value of Treatment Project for Rare Neurological Diseases & Mental Disorders 2019-2021” was launched. Assoc. Prof. Sophia Bakhtadze was invited as a chairwoman of the session.
