TSMU Visiting Professor, MD Otar Vadachkoria (Munich, Germany) delivered public lectures at Tbilisi State Medical University

On June 8, 2023, Tbilisi State Medical University Visiting Professor, MD Otar Vadachkoria, Munich (Germany) delivered two public lectures for the Faculty of Stomatology students. The visiting professor discussed the following issues: “Fundamentals of Dental Implantology: Anatomy and Clinical approach” (Part I and II). The lectures were attended by students, residents, doctors and TSMU academic staff.

"The students were introduced to the latest achievements in the field and innovative treatment methods implemented in Germany. I also shared my professional experience, the lectures seemed interesting and successful as the students asked very interesting questions. Sharing self-experience and visions to students and young doctors became a tradition for the Tbilisi State Medical University. The activity is mutually beneficial, as on the one hand students are given the opportunity to gain information about innovative treatment methods, diagnostics and preventive activities and on the other hand, it is an incentive for the professors as we are pushed to be always “in shape”. Involvement in academic activities requires rich practical experience, knowledge of latest achievements in the field and analytical skills. I am happy that I was named as the visiting professor of Tbilisi State Medical University and given the opportunity to share my experience and vision.” – said Professor Otar Vadachkoria.

The event was interesting and interactive. The students asked diverse questions concerning the discussed topics.

Dr. Otar Vadachkoria held a cycle of online lectures in Endodontics for the students of the Faculty of Dentistry of TSMU on April 30, May 7 and 14, 2022. On October 28, 2022 the professor conducted two lectures “Digital Technologies in Orthopedic Dentistry: Concept of Disease Management, Review and Analysis of Clinical Cases" (Parts I and II) in the conference hall of TSMU.
