თსსუ-ის დელეგაციამ პროექტის LIFESTRAND  ფარგლებში გამართულ ტრენინგებში მიიღო მონაწილეობა

TSMU delegation participated in the training within the framework of the project LIFESTRAND

On February 17-25, 2024, within the framework of ERASMUS+ project LIFESTRAND, the TSMU delegation: Professor Irma Manjavidze, Head of the Department of Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation, Assistant Professor Lia Otiashvili and Giorgi Kvitsinadze, a trainer of the American Heart Association International Training Center in Georgia alongside the representatives of the Georgian and Ukrainian universities visited the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) and the University of Porto (Portugal).

The delegation participated in the training with a primary focus on basic life support and first aid skills. The three-day training was hosted by the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). The training focused on case-based learning, basic life support, psychological assessment and support of victims. 

The workshops continued at the University of Porto. The participants discussed the polytrauma patients and evacuation scenarios. The goal of the project LIFESTRAND is to teach first aid skills to the staff, and students of the University of Ukraine and Georgia and share experience in this direction. Moreover, teaching first aid skills to vulnerable populations living in potentially high militaristic risk zones affected by Russian occupation and military aggression.

The Erasmus+ institutional development project - "LIFESTRAND" unites nine universities in Georgia, Ukraine, Spain and Portugal.
