Tbilisi State Medical University hosted the International Festival of Tbilisi Amateur Student’s Theaters “Mask 2023”. The festival was launched on December 7 and closed on December 14. Within the framework of the festival students performed:

• Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) - The Crucible

• Troupe of students "Space Theater" from Tbilisi – Mean

• Tbilisi student troupe "Art-drone” – Orphans

• Georgian National University (SEU) - 12 angry men

• Batumi Grigol Robakidze University – Fools’ dinner

• Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) Theater Hygia – Auschwitz

• University of Warsaw (Poland) – The Mask – “Nie Ma Fausta”

The festival jury members were: chairperson Eka Mzhavanadze, actors and actresses Tamuna Nikoladze, Kakha Mikiashvili, Salome Sharvadze, Malkhaz Kvrivishvili, Zuka Papuashvili, Guga Katsarava, Ana Zambakhidze and directors Giorgi Kashia and Edmond Minashvili.

On December 14, special awards were given to: 

• Giorgi Sanikidze  (TSMU )- “Mask 2023” discovery

• Luka besadze  (SEU)– best leading actor 

• Potine Chilachava (Art-drone) – best leading actress 

• Lasha Mikashavidze (Batumi Grigol Robakidze University) – best secondary role

• Dea Shukakidze (GIPA) – best secondary actress 

• Bakhva Gelashvili (TSMU) – best supporting actor 

• Bachi Zhulakashvili (SEU) - outstanding actor 

• Sali Khutashvili (TSMU) – best supporting actress 

• Krydtof Olejinsky (University of Warsaw) - best drama actor 

• Pepe Gognadze – best drama actress (TSMU)

• David Jgerenaia (Space Theater) – best comedy actor 

• Victoria Berandze (Space Theater) – best comedy actress 

• Molina Ioseliani (TSMU) and Tornike Kopaleishvili (SEU) – Tbilisi City Hall reward

• Dudu Modebadze (TSMU) - Gogi Todadze special award 

Within the framework of the festival actor Goga Pipinashvili held masterclasses on an innovative methodology which is completely different from the previous teachings. 

The International Festival of Tbilisi Amateur Student’s Theaters was organized for the tenth time and traditionally hosted by Tbilisi State Medical University.
