Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) has provided one of the best practices in corporate social responsibility during the fight against COVID-19 pandemic. TSMU is the basic center of higher medical education in Georgia. As a consequence, TSMU students and staff have been actively involved in the fight against the pandemic. 

Nowadays, one of the main priorities to defeat the disease is vaccination. TSMU has created safe environment for nearly 8000 students. 100% of academic and administrative staff and invited lecturers, as well as 91% of students are fully in compliance with the requirements demanded for creating a safe non-remote teaching and learning environment at the university. These requirements are:

• A person is fully vaccinated

• No more than 6 months have passed since the COVID-19 laboratory confirmation

• A person presents PCR test results once a week at the Human Resources Department. 

Notably, more than 83% of students and 92% of academic and administrative staff are vaccinated asserted by the QR code or documentation presented by them.
