Tbilisi State Medical University professors, doctors, students, residents and researchers have been involved in the fight against the COVID-19 from the beginning of the pandemic. Nevertheless, basically the academic process have been conducted in non-distance mode at the university.

One of the most important cycles against the pandemic have recently started in Georgia - mass vaccination campaigns. Solidarity is crucial for the safe future of our society in this period.

More than 40% of TSMU academic, administrative, supported staff and students are already vaccinated. We call on the staff and students of Tbilisi State Medical University to use the opportunity and participate in the vaccination campaign in July and August 2021. 

On September 13, 2021 academic process begins and each member of the university feels responsibility to create safe work and study environment for colleagues and students. The governing bodies of the university are planning to discuss the issue of admitting only vaccinated people at classrooms, clinics or laboratories from the next academic year (in the absence of contraindications). It is the only way to create a safe learning and research environment and develop the society.
