On April 21-28, 2023 Professor Marina Mamaladze, Head of the Odontology Department of TSMU, Assoc. Professors Nino Chipashvili and Lia Sanodze, Academic Doctor of Dentistry and Invited Lecturer Manana Ustiashvili participated in Ultradent summit in Seefeld (Austria). 

The summit was dedicated to important and contemporary issues in dentistry: factors influencing tooth restoration longevity and new trends in restorative dentistry, predictable results with teeth whitening, restorative workshops, advanced composite layering and polishing. Global speakers Prof. Renato Miotto Palo (Brazil) and Dr. Rafael De Silva Biolch (Portugal) spoke about the issues. 

Within the framework of the summit, a special practical course (hands-on) gave the dentists the opportunity to perform tooth restoration on simulators according to the modification suggested by Dr. Rafael De Silva Biolch.

“The evidence-based information was especially important for us. Teeth whitening results, restorative workshops etc. was based on innovative approaches” said the representatives of the Department of Odontology of TSMU.
