On the 1st  of December, 2017, under the guidance of Prof. Lela Maskhulia, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the teleconference between the students  and academic personnel of TSMU Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the students and academic staff of the same Faculty of the University of Scranton (US) was held. The Teleconference was attended by: the academic staff of TSMU Department of Physical Medicine and medical personnel of TSMU clinical center of sports medicine and rehabilitation. The students of the University of Scranton represented a clinical case – “Rehabilitation after surgical reconstruction of hip joint injury caused by aseptic meningitis”. In the discussion session on chronic course of combined injury and modern aspects and complications of postoperative rehabilitation was arranged after the presentation between Georgian  and American students. The event was highly appreciated by the academic staff of the Departments of Physical Medicine of both Universities. They expressed their willingness to continue fruitful cooperation and planned arrangement of the next teleconference, where a clinical case of TSMU students will be represented.
