Tbilisi State Medical University theatre “Hygia” presented yet another successful performance. As part of the International Festival of Tbilisi Amateur Student’s Theaters “Mask 2024” Khanuma by Avksenty Tsagareli was performed on the stage. 

The musical play Khanuma portrays the vibrant episodes of 19th-century Old Tbilisi lifestyle. The distinct stage adaptation was created by Associate Professor Natia Gujabidze, founder and director of “Hygia”. TSMU students performed in the play. Though amateur actors, the students delivered their roles with remarkable skill and professionalism.

The International Festival of Tbilisi Amateur Student’s Theaters “Mask 2024” was opened at TSMU on April 7. Throughout the week, student theatre groups from various universities will showcase their performances. The festival’s grand closing ceremony will take place on April 14. During the ceremony, a jury will evaluate the theatrical performances and announce the winners in various categories. The most outstanding student theatre groups and amateur actors will be awarded special prizes.
