In 2023, Assistant Professor Tea Gegenava, Internal Medicine Department N1 of Tbilisi State Medical University successfully defended a doctoral dissertation at one of the oldest universities in the world, Leiden University (the Netherlands). The title of the dissertation concerned the role of imaging and aortic valve disease and systemic sclerosis. The dissertation research outcomes were evaluated by the dissertation board, opponents and academic society as an essential contribution to the development of the field.
