Success of the TSMU Doctoral Student Mariam Nersezashvili

From April 15 to July 9, within the framework of ERASMUS + bilateral agreement between the Tbilisi State Medical University and the Medical University of Lublin TSMU Pharmacy Faculty doctoral student Mariam Nersezashvili was at the Medical University of Lublin (Poland) to implement her research component. The supervisors are: Prof. Dali Berashvili, TSMU Department of Pharmaceutical Botany and Prof. Krystyna Skalicka-Wozniak, Head of the Natural Products Chemistry Department of the Medical University of Lublin. The doctoral student had an internship at the Medical University of Lublin in 2021. During her current visit, Mariam Nersezashvili was able to apply accumulated knowledge and experience and continued phytochemical and biological research of the research objects. Besides identified substances, the doctoral student was able to identify additional substances, hypothetically - hexadecanamide. The research requires further studies. 

Prof. Krystyna Skalicka-Wozniak gave an opportunity to her doctoral student to participate in the collaborative project between the Medical University of Lublin and the universities of Pretoria and Cairo. On August 1-2 Mariam Nersezashvili will participate in the international conference „Counter Current Conference 2022“and present a poster report - „LIQUID-LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY SEPARATION OF BIOACTIVE COMPOUNDS FROM SESELI FOLIOSUM (SOMMIER&LEVIER) MANDEN''.
