თსსუ-ის გ. ჟვანიას სახელობის პედიატრიის აკადემიური კლინიკა ახალი სამედიცინო აპარატურით აღიჭურვა

G. Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University is equipped with high tech medical devices

On June 29, 2023, G. Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University was visited by Tamar Barkalaia, Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Tamar Kurtanidze, Head of the Social Protection Department, Meri Maglaperidze, Head of the State Care and Trafficking Agency, Petr Mikyska, the Czech Ambassador to Georgia and Ekaterine Meskhrikadze, Head of Mission Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia. The aim of the visit was providing the pediatric long-term and palliative care department of the clinic with high tech medical devices. Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia completed the final stage of the purchase medical for the department within the framework of the Czech Development Agency funded project. The guests were met by Professor Sophia Bakhtadze, Vice Rector of TSMU, Assoc. Prof. Lia Dzidziguri General Director of G. Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic and Alexander Buachidze Vice Chancellor of TSMU. 

On November 11, 2017 a memorandum “Establishment of Children’s Long Term and Palliative Care Services in Georgia” was signed between Czech Development Agency, Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and Tbilisi State Medical University. Within the framework of the project a memorandum was signed between Tbilisi State Medical University and Czech Development Agency. The aim of the memorandum was foundation of children’s long term and palliative care services at G. Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University. 

The building construction was financed by Tbilisi State Medical University. Czech Development Agency equipped the center with high tech medical devices. As a consequence, within the framework of the memorandum a long-term care and palliative care department for children was opened at the G. Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University.
