თსსუ-ის მოლეკულური და სამედიცინო გენეტიკის დეპარტამენტთან არსებული Journal club-ის პროექტის  პირველი სეზონის მონაწილეების დაჯილდოება და მეორე სეზონის გახსნა

The first season Journal club project participants awarding ceremony and the opening ceremony of the second season at the Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics

Journal Club was founded at the TSMU Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics. The club has successfully completed the first, spring season and continues to work on the second season actively.

Journal Club provides students and lecturers regular meetings to discuss articles published in the scientific journals in the field of molecular and medical genetics, genomics and translational medicine.

Within the framework of the first season the TSMU students presented current topics:

Biomarkers of cystic fibrosis – Ana Khmiadashvili, Ilona Voskaniani

CRISPR/CAS9 Genome editing system and its clinical application – Anzor Kvirikashvili, Nikoloz Kvirikadze

Analysis of circulating tumor DNA in treatment – Gigi Gorgadze, Nino Ramishvili

Genetic variants determining the severity of COVID-19 – Nika Togonidze, Tsisana Ugulava

TSMU students, Megi Lartsuliani and Nino Guruli were also involved in the process.

On November 19, TSMU Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics awarded the first season participants with the certificates. The best presenters Anzor Kvirikashvili and Nikoloz Kvirikadze were awarded with the books published by the Georgian Society of Medical Genetics and Epigenetics. Journal Club logo was created by Associate Professor Eka Kvaratskhelia, TSMU Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics. 

The idea of the Journal Club project belongs to Emeritus Elene Abzianidze. The project coordinators are Professor Tinatin Tkemaladze and Lecturer Kakha Bregvadze.
