The Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia scholarship was won by the Tbilisi State Medical University Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics Associate Professor, Ketevan Kankava. The projects were submitted at the Fundamental Research State Grants and Research Grants to Young Scientists scholarships.

1. Gynecological and breast cancer predisposition locus in Georgian patients (Fundamental Research State Grant)

2. Identification predisposition diseases locus in patients with gynecological tumors from Georgia (Research Grants to Young Scientists)

The projects will be implemented at the TSMU Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics Human Genome Research Center. Georgian and international students of TSMU Faculty of Medicine are involved in the activities developed by the center
