On October 26, 2023 Tbilisi State Medical University was visited by Dr. Irma Kvitsaridze, Honorary Doctor of TSMU, Senior Doctor at Radiation Therapy and Radiooncology Center of the Medical University of Innsbruck. The guest was hosted by Professor Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of TSMU. The parties discussed outcomes of the exchange program named after Professor Manana Kutelia.

The program gives TSMU students, residents and academic staff the opportunity to undergo internship in the clinics of Medical University of Innsbruck. Due to the hard work of Dr. Irma Kvitsaridze TSMU establishes partnership with one of the leading universities in Austria -  Medical University of Graz. Within the framework of the visit Dr. Irma Kvitsaridze visited the renovated classrooms of the second campus of TSMU. The rehabilitation and modernization process was completed in September 2023. She was also interested in American MD program details. The program was elaborated and implemented in collaboration with the Emory University (Atlanta, USA) in 2013. Dr. Irma Kvitsaridze visited the Museum of Life Sciences and canteen, designed for 160 people. She saw the sculptures authored by TSMU Honorary Doctors Levan Vardosanidze and Arsen Gvenetadze. Dr. Irma Kvitsaridze met Mikheil Gogoberishvili, an invited teacher at the Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics of TSMU. In 2021 within the framework of exchange program between Tbilisi State Medical University and Medical University of Innsbruck, Mikheil Gogoberishvili underwent clinical internship in the University Hospital Innsbruck. He expressed his gratitude to Dr. Irma Kvitsaridze for the opportunity and experience he had obtained in the Medical University of Innsbruck.
