თსსუ-ის საზოგადოებრივი ჯანმრთელობის საერთაშორისო სკოლაში საგრანტო პროექტი ,,CARE/ZRUNVA” განხორციელდება

Project “CARE/ZRUNVA” was Implemented at TSMU International School of Public Health

On October 8-9, a meeting was held by the representatives of Emory Georgia Fresh Air Research-Educational Project “CARE/ZRUNVA” in Telavi. The event was attended by the representatives from National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC), National Environmental Agency and Tbilisi State Medical University. The project is implemented in frames of grant agreement between NCDC and Emory University School of Medicine and aims to develop capacity of research on non-communicable diseases and environmental health in Georgia through training, teaching and practice. The project is developed on the basis of TSMU International School of Public Health. The Project “CARE/ZRUNVA” envisages financing teaching and learning process of TSMU Public Health Faculty three Master’s and three Doctorate level students at the Universities of Emory and George Washington.

At the event the aim of the project was introduced by Lela Sturua, NCDC Head of Non-Communicable Disease Department, Professor Levan Baramidze, Director of TSMU School of Public Health, Associate Professor, Nino Kiladze, TSMU Department of Hygiene and Medical Ecology and Professor Givi Javashvili, Head of Bioethics Society and TSMU Family Medicine Department.

Online presentation was held by international experts, Karla Berger (George Washington University, USA), Carmen Marsitti (Emory School of Medicine, USA) and Michael Coddle (Emory School of Medicine, USA). The international experts were introduced with Georgian Master level applicants Ana Kurashvili, Revaz Revazishvili and Teona Kharatishvili and PhD candidates Ana Dekanosidze, Tinatin Mamatsashili and Tamar Qashibadze. The PhD candidates introduced their research plans to the international experts and planned future cooperation activities.
