From January 20 to April 14, 2023 within the framework of Nodar Grigolia exchange program Tbilisi State Medical University students Tinatin Bukhrashvili, Archil Beridze and Konstantine Chkhaidze underwent internship in Ludwig-Maximilian University Hospital (Germany). The TSMU students underwent practical and theoretical courses in the Surgery and Therapy Departments of the clinic.

“We had the opportunity to receive and examine patients, observe anamnesis under the supervision of a doctor at the Therapy Department. We also attended surgeries and assisted surgeons in the Department of Surgery. We attended conferences and participated in evaluation of ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Three times a week we attended lectures in Surgery, Therapy and Anatomical Pathology. We are so grateful to Professor Giorgi Grigolia and Tbilisi State Medical University for the opportunity and experience we were able to obtain at the Ludwig-Maximilian University Hospital” – said the TSMU students.

TSMU honorary doctors, TSMU graduates (working in Austria and Germany), Austrian and German professors, have always supported students of TSMU to undergo internship in the leading European university clinics. Each year nearly 200 TSMU students, residents and young professionals visit European university clinics for study and internship purposes.
