On December 10-16, 2023 Giorgi Shelia, Faculty of Public Health student participated in the training “Regional Europe Young Ambassadors Summit” (organizers: “Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids’” and “The European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention (ENSP) “). 50 delegates from 14 countries participated in the course organized in Brussels. The delegates got acquainted with the strategies of different countries on tobacco control, met the representatives of the local health sector and visited the EU Parliament. They were hosted by Aurel Laurenţiu Plosceanu, member of EU Parliament and Vice-president for Communication of the European Economic and Social Committee.

The Tobacco Control Alliance in Georgia representatives Giorgi Shelia and Sopho Naktveturi presented a poster report and discussed current issues in terms of tobacco control in Georgia.
