On April 24-27, 2023 Professor Sophia Bakhtadze, Vice Rector of TSMU and Head of the TSMU Department of Child Neurology attended a training course organized by European Paediatric Neurology Society (EPNS) in Riga (Latvia).  The training was dedicated to contemporary issues of diagnosis and treatment of pediatric epilepsy and neurometabolic disorders.

The first section of the course was dedicated to the discussion of the importance of timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment of neurometabolic disorders. European experts discussed the latest data on the treatment of pediatric epilepsy in the second section of the training.

Within the course, young doctors presented rare clinical cases. The cases were discussed with the active involvement of the leading European experts.
