From May 29 to June 1, 2023 Professor Tinatin Chikovani, Head of the Departments of Immunology and Education Management, Assessment and Students Registration of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Irma Manjavidze, Director of TSMU Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center, Assoc. Prof. Ia Avaliani Department of Internal Medicine, Propaedeutic and Akaki Karsanidze Network Administrator of TSMU and Medical Pharmacology Teacher visited Vilnius University (Lithuania) within the framework of ERASMUS+ project “Simulation in Undergraduate Medical Education for Improvement of Safety and Quality of Patient Care'' (SAFEMED +).

The TSMU delegation attended the training about designing objectively structured exam stations and software. Assoc. Prof. Ia Avaliani presented the e-book “The Role of OSCE and Clinical Line for Mastering Clinical Competencies of Medical students” composed and edited within the framework of the project. 

Professor Tinatin Chikovani, Professor Irma Manjavidze and Akaki Karsanidze presented reports about the impact of SAFEMED + project on the ongoing educational process at TSMU. 

Project Simulation in Undergraduate MEDical Education for Improvement of SAFEty and Quality of Patient Care (SAFEMED +) serves to implement and develop CBME (Competence Based Medical Education) in participant universities. The final goal of the project is to ensure development of clinical competences among graduates.
