On October 6-8, 2023 XV International Scientific Conference “Health and Ecology” was organized in Lopota Lake Resort & Spa, Kakheti Region by the Faculty of Public Health of Tbilisi State Medical University, the Academy of Preventive Medicine and Medical Ecological Association.

The main topic of the conference was "Phenomenon Georgian wine and its healing effects'’. TSMU academic staff, invited lecturers, young scientists, students, doctoral students and field specialists participated in the conference. Scientists from the USA and Israel also presented reports about health benefits of Georgian wine and contemporary issues related to medical ecology. The participants had the opportunity to listen to the online presentations of Professor Ramaz Kurashvili and TSMU Honorary Doctor Nino Chumburidze. Within the framework of the conference the 2nd edition of the book “Medical Ecology” by Professor Bidzina Zurashvili and Associate Professor Marina Giorgobiani was presented. The conference proceedings will be published in the journal “Experimental and Clinical Medicine”.
