On April 25, International DNA Day with an essay contest is celebrated around the world. The Georgian Society of Medical Genetics and Epigenetics and TSMU Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics joined the Essay Contest for the seventh time. 

Tbilisi State Medical University, Agricultural University of Georgia, Ilia State University and San Diego State University students participated in the competition. 42 articles assessed by Georgian and international experts were presented at the competition.

Winners:

1st place – Data Kekutia and Nino Khabazi, TSMU, Faculty of Medicine, prize: 300 GEL

2nd place – Elene Ivaniashvili and Saba Birkadze, San Diego State University, Faculty of Biochemistry, prize: 200 GEL

3rd place – Nino Nadiradze, Ilia State University, Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine, Molecular Biosciences, prize: 100 GEL
