Within the framework of bilateral agreement between the Tbilisi State Medical University and Medical University of Innsbruck, international students, Maximilian Schmitz undergoes clinical internship at TSMU Department of Surgery. The internship lasted for four weeks but based on the international student’s request the internship program has been prolonged for four more weeks. 

“I am going to stay here till the end of February. It was a great experience for me. I especially liked applying innovative technologies in patient diagnose and treatment procedures” – noted the international student. 

Head of the TSMU Department of Surgery, Prof. Gia Tomadze highlighted “Maximal Schmitz is actively involved in the everyday tasks of the department. He is attending conferences and surgeries, also he is communicating with patients and helping doctors with diverse manipulations”.
