On June 29, 2023 a memorial evening dedicated to the 177th anniversary from the birth of Ivane Tarkhnishvili was organized at Tbilisi State Medical University by the TSMU Ivane Tarkhnishvili Students' Scientific Society. The evening was attended by the TSMU students, academic and administrative staff and invited guests. 

The event was opened by the speech of SoSo Soselia student of the Faculty of Medicine of Tbilisi State Medical University and member of Ivane Tarkhnishvili Students' Scientific Society. Prof. Merab Tsagareli and MD Khuta Pachkoria, Academician N. Kipshidze Central University Clinic Gastroenterologist presented their reports at the event. The evening was outlined by Assoc. Prof. Giorgi Chichinadze Department of Physiology of Tbilisi State Medical University.
