On March 21, 2024, Tbilisi State Medical University was visited by Professor Andrew A. Gumbs, Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Artificial Intelligence Surgery '' and Manana Gogol, Director of International Association “Medea MIMA”. The guests were accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Archil Aladashvili, Department of General Surgery of Tbilisi State Medical University.

Professor Irakli Natroshvili, Rector of TSMU, Professor Sophia Bakhtadze, Vice Rector of TSMU, Assoc. Prof. Irina Kapetivadze Head of Rector’s Office and Assoc. Prof. Tinatin Kilasonia, Head of International Relations Department met the guests. 

The parties discussed perspectives of integration of artificial intelligence in clinical teaching and the introduction of robotic surgery in university clinics.
