Peer review within the frames of Erasmus + CBME project “SPRING”

On January 28-29, 2022, at Tbilisi State Medical University were held a meetings with participation of the  International expert group of partner Universities under the ERASMUS + Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) program, supported by the project "Setting Peer Review Instruments and Goals for Medical (Health) Education" (SPRING) (https://tsmu.edu/ts/content/7/206/251/323/0/0).

Project aims to enhance the quality of medical education in Eastern Partnership Countries (Georgia, Moldova and Belorussia) as well as central Asia (Kazakhstan and Tajikistan).The European partners of the project are Medical University of Sofia and Kaunas University of Health Sciences.

During the visit, employee development meetings were held with focus groups on academic, scientific and professional issues; Meetings were held with the Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, the  TSMU Administration, the Faculty of Medicine, as well as the International Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, the Administration of the Faculty of Public Health, the heads of relevant educational programs, staff members, with students, alumni and stakeholders.

The members of the international experts group were:

Professor Antoniya Yanakieva - Faculty of Public Health, Medical University of Sofia  (Bulgaria), Erasmus + Academic Coordinator,

Associate Professor Vidmantas Vaiciulis - Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (Kaunas),

Professor Liazzat Kosherbaeva - Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (Almaty),

Professor Yanina Razvodovskaya, Grodno State Medical University (Belarus).
