We are proud as AMEE has chosen Tbilisi State Medical University to open its regional center. It means that TSMU has gained a high international authority and recognition”, noted Professor Gaiane Simonia, Head of the Department of Medical Education, Research and Strategic Development.
“At TSMU AMEE International Networking Center in Georgia the second training in assessment of students’ competences is held. Assessment has an important role in medical education as people’s health focuses around medical education and in particular, methods of students’ assessment. Being a professional doctor can only be achieved through a quality of relevant education, in other words, if we want to create good doctors it can be achieved only by professional educators. Consequently, it will ensure healthy society. Training participants critically analyzed and discussed modern methods of assessment. Next days based on practical cases we will discuss and analyze assessment methods in details”, said Professor Trevor Gibbs, the President of AMEE.
