On October 24, 2022 Tbilisi State Medical University was visited by Ashot Smbatyan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia. The guest was met by Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of TSMU, Professors and Vice Rectors Khatuna Todadze and Sophia Bakhtadze, Professor Archil Undilashvili, Director of USMD Program and Irina Kapetivadze, Head of Rector’s Office.
Professor Khatuna Todadze presented a presentation about the history and ongoing educational activities of the university. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia noted that Professor Armen Muradyan, Rector of Yerevan State Medical University had informed him about the achievements of TSMU. Professor Armen Muradyan visited Tbilisi State Medical University in May, 2022.
“The Rector and professors of Yerevan State Medical University are inspired by the international success of Tbilisi State Medical University. We are interested in developing the same way to obtain international authorization and accreditation. I am an ambassador and consequently I am interested in deepening friendship and cooperation between two countries. The collaboration should be enhanced in diverse fields including higher educational activities. We are striving for planning joint scientific activities and exchange programs” said Ashot Smbatyan.
Ashot Smbatyan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia invited Professor Zurab Vadachkoria in Yerevan. Visit of the TSMU delegation at Yerevan State Medical University will be one of the most important events for sharing experience and strengthening collaboration between two state universities.
