TSMU students paid tribute to the memory of students who died in the war of Abkhazia and decorated the memorial with flowers.

Professor Zurab Vadachkoria delivered a speech: “Vasil Kiladze, Ilia Meladze, Giorgi Mirotadze, Revaz Mumladze and Nikoloz Ghibradze are heroes of modern Georgia. They took off their white coats in order to achieve a common goal: protect their country and reconcile Georgians and Abkhazians. Most of us believe that the goal of our young heroes will be realized and our homeland will be reunited. I want to express my gratitude to the parents of these brave boys.”

Parents of TSMU students who died in the war of Abkhazia Levan Mirotadze and Avtandil Ghibradze thanked the TSMU students, professors and administration as September 27 has always been marked as a tragic day at the university.

I want to express my gratitude to Tbilisi State Medical University for commemorating the boys every year” – said Levan Mirotadze.
