The student conference Introduction to Endocrinology was organized at Tbilisi State Medical University. The event was supported by the Department of Endocrinology and the Student Self-Government of TSMU. 

The TSMU students presented the following topics:

• Bachana Samniashvili, Mzagho Dabrundashvili - "The role of antibodies in the development of Diabetes” (Supervisor: Prof. Marine Gordeladze, Head of TSMU Department of Endocrinology)

• Khatia Khvedelidze – “Pancreas-protective effect of rituximab for type 1 diabetes” (Supervisor: Ekaterine Patsatsia Head of the Endocrinology Department at G. Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic)

• Nika Togonidze - "Insulin pills - a new generation of insulin” (Supervisor: Ekaterine Patsatsia)

• Mariam Tolordava – “Contemporary technologies is diabetes management” (Supervisor: Ekaterine Patsatsia)

• Saba Pruidze – “Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor associated with acromegaly - rare manifestation of MEN1 syndrome” (Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Nino Charkviani TSMU Department of Endocrinology)

• Nino Kikvadze, Nino Kochuashvili – “Polycystic ovary syndrome” (Supervisor: Assistant Prof. Karen Grigoryan TSMU Department of Endocrinology)

The students were awarded with certificates.
