On July 17, 2023 Tbilisi State Medical University was visited by Professor Tatiana Ilashchuk, Vice Rector of Bukovinian State Medical University, Head of the Department of Propaedeutic. The guest was met by Professor Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of TSMU and Irina Kapetivadze Head of Rector’s Office. 

The partnership between Bukovinian State Medical University and Tbilisi State Medical University was established nearly ten years ago. Professors of Bukovinian State Medical University frequently visit TSMU and deliver lectures for students and residents. In 2014, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria was invited to attend the event dedicated to the 70th anniversary from the foundation of Bukovinian State Medical University and the Congress of World Federation of Ukrainian Medical Associations‎. TSMU students participate in the annual international congress BIMCO organized by Bukovinian State Medical University.

The parties outlined future cooperation activities between Bukovinian State Medical University and Tbilisi State Medical University.
