On September 28, 2023, Professor Sidikov Akmal, Rector of the Ferghana Medical Institute of Public Health (FMIPH), Uzbekistan and Assoc. Prof. Kudrat Utkurovich the Head of the International Department of the Ferghana Medical Institute of Public Health (FMIPH) visited Tbilisi State Medical University. 

The guests were hosted by Prof. Marina Tsimakuridze, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health and Nino Aptsiauri Deputy Head of the International Relations Department of TSMU. The guests were interested in educational programs and ongoing projects of TSMU. They presented information about the Ferghana Medical Institute of Public Health. The Rector of the Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health expressed his desire to sign a memorandum of partnership with Tbilisi State Medical University.
