The Modern and Ballroom dance Ensemble

The modern and ballroom dance ensemble "Vega" near the TSMU Cultural Center, the idea of which was created by the director of the TSMU Cultural Center, Mr. Badri Matchavariani, was formed in 2004.

Initially, Ia Kvirikashvili and David  Kulumbegashvili were the leaders of the ensemble "Vega".

For 16 years, the ensemble has been actively involved in all the concert programs of the TSMU Cultural Center, holding numerous solo concerts, evenings and choreographic performances.

Almost every year and successfully participates in the festival "Terpsicore" and modern dance olympiads, "Flash-mob show" and TV show - "Talented".

The ensemble "Vega" performed with great success during the student days.

In 2019, in the competition held during the student days in Georgia, the ensemble "Vega" won an honorable second place. 

The ensemble is constantly evolving, has a diverse concert program. Along with the main directions, the performances of the ensemble "Vega" are enriched with elements of different dance styles, which makes the ensemble's performances even more interesting.

The members of the ensemble, the students of TSMU, were acquired by the leadership of TSMU, it can be said, unique props and costumes that will further decorate the performances of the ensemble in the future.

The main task of the ensemble "Vega" is to acquaint young people, TSMU students with the diverse world of European and Latin American dances and to develop these dances in the stage direction.

The motto of the ensemble "Vega" - "Dance and be happy".

Currently, the ensemble "Vega" is led by Ia Kvirikashvili, winner of international competitions in Georgia and the Caucasus, winner and prize-winner of international competitions, in ballroom-sports dances - Multiple champion of Georgia and Caucasus and cup holder (from 1994 to 2005 inclusive)

 - The Winner of the Open Championship of Azerbaijan (1997)

 - The Winner of the Georgian Television Prize (Channel I, 1998)-  Tbilisi Cup winner (2001)

-The  Finalist of the Eastern European Championship (from 2002 to 2005 inclusive)

- Dav. Sarajishvili Award winner (2004), awarded for outstanding achievements in ballroom-sports dances.

-The Winner of the international competitions, prize finalist (from 1996 to 2005 inclusive).
