Classical Music Group at TSMU Culture Center

Classical Music Group at TSMU Culture Center

In January 2011, at the initiative of TSMU students, a classical music group was established at the TSMU Sport and Art Center.

The students who had received a music education during their school years were very interested in creating this group. They expressed a great desire to continue studying classical music at the TSMU Sport and Art Center, which was provided by the university administration, and the director of the center, as the group leader, was invited  Mr. Goderdzi Chitaishvili,  a graduate of Ivane Sarajishvili Conservatory, the pianist.

Shortly afterwards, the classical group took part in the events of the TSMU Cultural Center. It should be noted that in addition to piano works, works for flute, cello, violin and vocals were performed at the concerts.

On September 28, 2013,  at the invitation of Batumi Art University, members of the TSMU Classical Music Group held an unforgettable concert at the University of Arts, which was well received by the music community.

Undoubtedly a great success of the leader and members of the classical music group is the concert held on January 30, 2014 in the small hall of the Tbilisi State Conservatory. Our students, future doctors, presented a worthy program in front of the listeners and made a great impression on them.

The concert featured works by Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, Albinon, Masné, Chopin, Vivaldi, Saint-Saëns, Bach, Laghidze, Azarashvili and other classical musicians.

The new generation of students, who plan to succeed in both the medical field and the study of classical music, is currently training in the classical music group.
