Israeli delegation visited Tbilisi State Medical University Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic

On October 22-26, 2018, the Israeli delegation visited Tbilisi State Medical University Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic:

-          Professor Yitzhak Vinodrad – Professor of the Faculty of Medicine  at Tel-Aviv University (Israel), Chief Expert of Israeli National Pediatric Surgery Service.

-          Professor Ran Steinberg -Haifa Medical Center (Rambam), Head of Pediatric Surgery and Transplantation Department;

-          Professor Arkadi Vachian -  Head of Minimal Invasive (Laparoscopic) Surgery Unit;

-          Professor Joseph  Benar - Head of Intensive Care and Critical Care Medicine Department;

-          Professor Amir Hadash - Head of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit;

-          Amit Lehavi  -  Head of the Anesthesiology Unit.

The aim of the visit is to raise the qualification of students, residents, academic personnel and medical personnel of the clinic; sharing experiences that will increase the level of diagnostics and treatment and will bring them closer to European standards. Within the visit, they will deliver the course of lectures.

The lectures will be held at lecture hall of Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic (Address: 21, Lubliana str)

During the visit  Professors  will conduct the most serious surgeries,  some of them, already performed,  require further step-reoperation:

Congenital ano-rectal malformations - 4 patients;

Diaphragmatic hernia

Gastroesophageal reflux.

In addition, free medical consultations will also be conducted during the visit.
