From November 26 to December 5, 2013 Tbilisi International Festival of Amateur Student’s Theaters – “Mask 2013” was held at Tbilisi State Medical University.

Amateur Student’s Theaters Association was established in 2012 and for the first time the association founded Festival of Amateur Student’s Theaters – “Mask”. The festival is annual and theaters of different universities from any country participate in.

The goals of the festival are: communication between the universities, sharing the experience, professional collaboration and creative work, popularization of art and making students life more colorful.

The first festival was successfully held on December 10 – 17, 2012. The host of the festival was Tbilisi State Medical University and six Georgian universities participated in.

Tbilisi International Festival of Amateur Student’s Theaters - “Mask 2013” was opened on November 26 in Red Hall of Tbilisi State Medical University.

Opening ceremony was attended by Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Vice-Rector, Professor Kakhaber Chelidze, Deputy Rector, Professor Rima Beriashvili, Head of Quality Assurance, Professor Irine Kvachadze, Representatives of Tbilisi City Hall, TSMU Academic and Administrative Staff and students from the participant universities.

The performances were evaluated by the competent jury, which was consisted of:

4. Eka Molodinashvili (Actress of Rustaveli Theater)

7. Nika Tsulukidze (Theater Historian)
8. Akaki Sturua ( Representative of Tbilisi City Hall)

• Best Episodic Role Playing Actor – Batukhan Erkuti (Turkish Students’ Theater)
• Best Tragic Role Playing Actress – Ketevan Okruashvili (I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University)
• Best Tragic Role Playing Actor – Ambako Bregadze (Grigol Robakidze University)
• Best Comedy Actress – Nino Abshilava (Tbilisi State Medical University)
• Best Comedy Actor – Tamaz Tamazashvili (Tbilisi State Medical University)
• Best Actress – Tamar Peradze (I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University)
• Best Actor – Aleksandre Shengelia (Tbilisi State Medical University)
• The Actress Elected by Tbilisi City Hall – Sopo Sologhashvili ((I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University)
• Discovery of the Festival – Mikheil Kokhodze (Grigol Robakidze University)
