The university awarded the Gvazava sisters for excellent academic performance

On June 26, 2018, Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, with Vice Rectors: Professor Khatuna Todadze and Associate Professor Irakli Kokhreidze, Prof. Tinatin Chikovani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Giga Sordia, Head of Students and Alumni Relations, Tamar Stepanishvili, Head of Public Relations and Protocol Service, met with students of the Faculty of Medicine, sisters: Nanuli, Joneta and Romina Gvazavas. Nanuli Gvazava is the V year student of the Faculty of Medicine, according to the results of the Unified National Examination- 2013, she was the first on the ranking-list. Besides this success, Nanuli became the winner of the National Biology Olympiad (Bern, Switzerland) and the owner of the first medal (bronze) from Georgia. The second sister Joneta Gvazava is the 4th year student of the Faculty of Medicine and owner of Presidential Scholarship. She is also the winner of the National Biology Olympiad (Indonesia) and the Bronze medal holder. Younger sister, Romina Gvazava was enrolled to Tbilisi State Medical University in 2017 and is considered as one of the best first year students of the Faculty of Medicine. She is actively involved in international projects and has already participated in the Biology International Olympiad (Vietnam). The University Rector, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, congratulated them on excellent academic progress and gave a cash prize to motivate and encourage the students. "First of all I would like to congratulate the students on their success. As a Georgian, I'm proud and glad that Tbilisi State Medical University and Georgia has such motivated young people from one family. The siblings graduated from Abasha #1 Public School. I would like to congratulate all teachers of the school parents and family members on this success”.
