Passing the basic course at the TSMU Center of Scientific-Research Skills, alongside with theoretical knowledge the students are given the opportunity to assimilate practical skills taught at the laboratory of practical skills on the base of the Center. During the course the students are acquainted with:

·         Principles of experimental research, laboratory work as well as proper care and use of laboratory animals;

·         Laboratory Manipulations: pipetting, weighing, filtration, cleaning and sterilization of laboratory vessels;

·         Analytical research methods determination of  glucose and protein concentrations, construction of calibration curves 

·         Chromatography: thin-layer gel filtration;

·         Electrophoresis Methods

·         Immunological Methods: precipitation, antigen-antibody Titration by  DOT Method and ELISA Principles.

TSMU students showed a special interest in practical training  and noted that knowledge and skills obtained during the course will help them to be actively involved in scientific activities and professional development.
