On September 27-28, 2019 International Scientific Conference “Green Means - with Green Technologies - for a Healthier Life”, Session “Clinical Pharmacy - Problems and Prospects in Georgia” and Student Conference “Health and Medicine” was held at Tbilisi State Medical University in frames of the International Festival for Science and Innovation 2019. The conference was also dedicated to the 100 anniversary of Pharmacy Education in Georgia. Tbilisi State Medical University and Georgia Pharmacy Association were the organizers of the events. 

The Conference “Green Means - with Green Technologies - for a Healthier Life” was opened by Prof. Rima Beriashvili, TSMU Vice Rector and attended by international guests, representatives from various Georgian Universities, TSMU academic staff and students. On September 28, Session “Clinical Pharmacy - Problems and Prospects in Georgia” was opened by Prof. Irine Kvatchadze, Head of TSMU Quality Assurance Office and attended by Silviu Domente, Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Georgia Office, representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) from five international countries and also Dr. Olga Grinsova, Expert of Good Pharmaceutical Practice (GPP); Prof. Zuriadda Sakipova, Dean of School of Pharmacy, Almaty (Kazakhstan); PhD, Ievgen Grintsov, National University of Pharmacy, Charkiv (Ukraine); Tamaz Tchumburidze, Head of the TSMU Social and Clinical Pharmacy Department and Assoc. Prof. Natia Kvizhinadze were the moderators of the session. “It is very important that clinical pharmacy in Georgia is developed in accordance with European and world standards. The pharmacist should take care of the patient and therefore have the proper knowledge and education” said Prof. Tamaz Chumburidze. The participants of conference were awarded with certificates.
