The Forensic Anthropology Laboratory of Tbilisi State Medical University has been working on the project “Restoration, Documentation, and Identification of the Georgian Project” for three years. This project involves the study of mass graves of victims of Soviet repression in the 1930s in Adjara, anthropological research, and identification.

The project is being implemented through the collaboration of the Forensic Anthropology Association of Georgia, Texas State University (USA), Michigan State University (USA), University of Teesside (UK), and the Department of Forensic Anthropology and Forensic Genetics of the Pomeranian Medical University (Poland).
