Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) has attracted the attention of one of the largest international educational platforms – the Silk-Road Universities Network (SUN), which has formally extended an invitation for the university to join its ranks.
Professor Sungdon Hwang, Secretary-General of SUN, visited TSMU and provided a detailed overview of the benefits associated with membership. According to Professor Hwang, joining the network offers universities the opportunity to strengthen international values and foster intercultural cooperation, engage in global scientific and educational activities, host international conferences, forums and exchange programs, and develop partnerships with leading universities and research institutions across various countries. Membership in the network would entail a wide range of academic and educational activities for TSMU’s faculty and students.
Established in 2015, the Silk-Road Universities Network currently comprises 87 universities and research institutes located in 65 cities across 28 countries. The organization is dedicated to deepening international cooperation, promoting intercultural dialogue and facilitating the exchange of scientific and academic experiences.
