A cycle of lectures in laboratory medicine is organized at Tbilisi State Medical University

A cycle of lectures in laboratory medicine initiated by Professor Nino Gogokhia, Head of the First University Clinic Department of Laboratory and Director of the laboratory medicine residency program of TSMU has been conducted. The aim of the lectures is to raise the quality of the educational process in the residency programs.

“I believe that in addition to methodology knowledge and practical skills acquisition, the doctor of our field should also be able to make clinical interpretations about the research outcomes. This requires specific theoretical knowledge, access to mechanisms, analyzing skills, so that the specialist in the laboratory can evaluate and interpret clinical significance based on the obtained information from the research. Overall, laboratory medicine is a multifaceted field, and the residency program consists of different modules that vary thematically. We strive for lectures to cover all topics of the module comprehensively. We think that our start will be productive and mutually beneficial, both for laboratory medicine residents and residents of other specialties," said Professor Nino Gogokhia.

The lecture cycle is completed at the end of June. Lectures will be held in the administrative building of Tbilisi State Medical University and in the teaching rooms of the First University Clinic.
