On June 6, 2020 online Open Doors Day was held at Tbilisi State Medical University for the university entrants and interested people. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic situation the event was organized in a remote mode. The distance information meeting was streamed via TSMU official Facebook web-page. The event lasted for nearly three hours and the page counted thousands of visitors.

Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, TSMU Rector thanked the visitors for participating in the online event and wished good luck at the national exams. Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria talked about the opportunities the medical university offers to the students in terms of quality education and healthy environment. “Despite the high exam threshold set by our university, still TSMU is one of the most demandable higher education institutions in Georgia according to the National Assessment and Examinations Center” said the Rector of TSMU. 

Deans of the TSMU faculties presented detailed information about the undergraduate and graduate educational programs, procedures related to the enrollment requirements, issues concerning international relations and student life at TSMU.

During the online open doors day, the entrants were given opportunity to ask questions in the form of comments or e-mail questions within a week. The questions were answered in the second part of the event from the deans, programme coordinators, Head of the International Relations Department, Vice Rector and the Rector of TSMU.

The organizers noted, every interested person is given opportunity to address the official web page of the university or email in order to get answers to their questions concerning the educational programmes and exams at TSMU.
