On January 15, 2018, the delegation led by Prof. Dr Sadrettin Pence Vice-Rector  of the University of Health Sciences (Turkey) visited Tbilisi State Medical University. The delegation included: Prof.  Aynur Feyzioglu, Director of EURASIAN RESEARCH CENTER FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL SCIENCES;  Prof. Derya Buyukkayhan, Deputy Director and Mr. Merab Nakashidze, member of Advisory Board,  (direction –Georgia).  The guests were accompanied by Ismai Pence and young doctor Lasha Nakashidze. The delegation of was welcomed by Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University. The meeting was attended by: Professor Zurab Orjonikidze TSMU Chancellor; Associate Professor Irakli Kokhreidze Vice-Rector; Professor Tinatin Chikovani Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Professor Lela Maskhulia Dean of the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; Medea Jgharkava Coordinator of Professional Programs; Professor Irina Kvachadze Head of Quality Assurance Department;  Professor Rusudan Rukhadze Head of the Department of Educational Programs Management and Registration Department of Students; Associate Professor Davit Topuria Head of the Department of Overseas Students Education; Associate Professor Eka Ekaladze Director of US MD Program;  Irina Kapetivadze Head of International Affairs Department;  Nino Kandelaki"ERASMUS +" coordinator; Associate Professor Zaza Bokhua Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Continuous Professional Development.  The Vice Rector of TSMU, Associate Professor Irakli Kokhreidze gave a presentation on Tbilisi State Medical University, which aroused great interest among the guests. Members of the delegation also received additional information from the representatives of the Tbilisi State Medical University around the issues they were interested in. According to the presentation made by the delegation of the University of Health Sciences, their university is considered as one of the most traditional and oldest universities in Turkey. The guests expressed great interest in development of cooperation with Tbilisi State Medical University. They noted that they have a number of interesting proposals and plans for development of exchange and joint training programs.  The sides agreed that the plans of mutual cooperation will be discussed in details by working groups, which will be created for this purpose. Memorandum of Cooperation was signed. The Turkish delegation expressed gratitude to Tbilisi State Medical University for a hospitable welcome and an interesting excursion at Tbilisi State Medical University. It was especially interesting to see the TSMU Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center. Visiting the First University Clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University was very impressive for them as well. At the end of the meeting, Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, presented memorable gifts to the guests. Members of the delegation gave a memorable gift to the representatives of TSMU as a sign of deep respect.
