Within
the framework of the ERASMUS+ Institutional Development Project SQUARE (Strengthening
the Quality and Relevance of the Third Mission in Georgian Universities), Tbilisi
State Medical University was visited by Professor of Paris National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts, Karim Medjad. Professor Khatuna Todadze,
TSMU Vice-Rector, Assoc. Prof. Giorgi Tchitchinadze, Head of the TSMU Public
Relations Department, Dr. Nino Kandelaki, ERASMUS+ Institutional Coordinator
and Assoc. Prof. Lasha Mskhiladze, Acting Director of the I. Kutateladze Institute of Pharmacochemistry met the guest. Within the framework of the
meeting, participants discussed progress of implemented activities and agreed
on future plans.
Eight Georgian HEIs, three European
universities, the European Foundation for Management Development
(EFMD), National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and Ministryof Education and Science of Georgia participate in the project. The goal of the
project is to improve the quality and relevance of the third mission activities
at Georgian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), also develop methodologies
and guidelines for planning, implementing, and evaluating the third mission
strategies. The project also aims to create a document defining the third
mission strategy as the mandatory component of the institutional accreditation-authorization.
