სამუშაო შეხვედრა პროექტ ,,CARE/ZRUNVA”-ს ფარგლებში

A working session within the framework of the project

Within the framework of Emory Georgia Fresh Air Research-Educational Project “CARE/ZRUNVA” a session was organized by the representatives from National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC), National Environmental Agency and Tbilisi State Medical University. 

The project is implemented in frames of grant agreement between NCDC and Emory University School of Medicine and aims to develop capacity for research on non-communicable diseases and environmental health in Georgia through training, teaching and practice. The project is developed on the basis of TSMU International School of Public Health. The Project “CARE/ZRUNVA” envisages financing teaching and learning process of TSMU Public Health Faculty Master’s and Doctorate students at the Universities of Emory and George Washington.

TSMU Master’s and Doctorate students presented reports about ongoing research to the international experts, Assoc. Prof. Karla Berger (George Washington University, USA), Assoc. Prof. Michael Coddle (Emory School of Medicine, USA) and Assoc. Prof. Ziad Kaz (Emory School of Medicine, USA). 

Professor Givi Javashvili, TSMU Department of Hygiene and Medical Ecology, Chairman of Bioethics Society and Head of TSMU Family Medicine Department and TSMU Public Health Faculty Professor Levan Metreveli held lectures within the framework of the project.
